I am an 11 year old from Yorkshire UK and started indoor karting on my 8th Birthday. I took to karting extremely quickly and within 3 months I competed in the national TeamSport Karting Championship finals where I finished 4th in the UK.
Dad - "As a family we were astonished at his driving ability and took the joint decision to support Ty's Goals and dreams. Being a working class family we saved hard to buy Ty his very own 2 stroke kart in June 2018. When we first purchased it Ty wasted no time jumping into a regional championship half way through the season. Although only completing half the rounds against 30 other drivers he finished the Championship in 7th place. Not wanting to wait for the next year’s season we managed to pay for a winter season Championship at a local track. Every race weekend was hampered with horrible wet, cold and icy weather but Ty loved every second. After competing in 3 rounds he had won enough points to be crowned Winter Series Champion."
The following year with growing national sponsors it was possible to buy a new class of kart and compete in the prestigious SuperOne karting championship where many F1 drivers started their careers like Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Against the best in the UK and overseas I achieved 12th in the Championship with little experience.
During 2020 and lockdown I started online sim racing to keep my racing focused and joined a professional world championship which included factory drivers and driving pro's. This was the perfect opportunity to keep my sponsors in the shop window with their logo's on my car being aired on YouTube with thousands of views.
Following the success of the sim racing I then got requests to be a commentator for varied E-Sports leagues and continue to do due to my passionate for motorsport.
Also during 2020 lockdown many businesses sent me their merchandise which I proudly promoted on social media via video reviews and gained further backers but also the opportunity to support charities as a brand ambassador.
Through my social media interaction I have done many live Q & A interviews with groups who normally have F1 or BTCC drivers and teams answering questions.
2021 is a very important year as I need to move in to junior karts due to my height.
The ultimate dream is to get a seat in BTCC working through the TOCA package where my personality would compliment my driving, encourage the fan base and ultimately showcase my sponsors.
F1 was always the dream but realistically its a one in a million chance.
